"AverPoint is a "community credibility layer" on digital videos, text, and audio. We're trying to counter disinformation by harnessing the power of community. With our Chrome extension, you can question, review, and engage with the evidence behind the claims in YouTube videos. We've focused the past year on a private beta focused on 4 university research centers. This summer, we're launching a community strategy that aims to grow public groups who focus on health care, climate change, economics, and foreign policy. The internship will include identifying trending claims, researching the evidence for and against, and strategic growth of an online community.
Shouvik Banerjee MPP 2007, Founder and CEO will presenting. They are hiring summer interns. Roles will match experience and skills. Early career candidates will focus on our projects to grow our online communities. Senior candidates will be matched to special projects in customer development or marketing. Internships are open to all students (no citizenship requirements).
AverPoint is a remote team, though about half the team lives in California. There is a preference that candidates lives in the United States, but the work is remote. They are a 7-person early stage company, and include a wide range of individuals and backgrounds. They have actively recruited at diversity events, and value the different perspectives and skills our teammates bring to our common mission to counter disinformation."
