"The student affairs job search was always going to be tough. But now it’s ESPECIALLY difficult with how the pandemic has affected how we learn, interact, and work with one another. How should YOU be searching right now? What can YOU do to mitigate the challenge of the smaller market, hiring freezes, and furloughs? What strategies can you take advantage of to make sure YOU stand out against the other applicants? What should you do if you’re not successful in your search but you NEED to do something in the near future BUT still remain a competitive candidate in the field?
This presentation will address the answers to these questions and more. In addition, an overview of the student affairs job search will be provided for new and established student affairs job seekers. Information, tips, and strategies will be shared on managing final “virtual” campus interviews. Finally, salary negotiation will be covered in addition to considerations for re-location and other actionable takeaways."
