ROPES (Regional Organization for Peace, Economics & Security) Briefing [HKS Event]

Monday, April 5, 2021, 3:15pm to 4:00pm

"More than three years before the Abraham Accords, ROPES was created with what at the time seemed like a fanciful mission: to expand the coalition for a conflict-ending Israeli-Palestinian peace deal by connecting forward-thinking Israeli and Palestinian emerging leaders with likeminded peers from across the Arab world. Today, as the only Arab-Israeli people-to-people organization that has been working with emerging leaders and senior figures in the UAE, Bahrain, Morocco, and other Arab states, ROPES stands uniquely positioned to help this unprecedented political moment produce the first models of a warm Arab-Israeli peace and, over the long term, to leverage it into momentum for a conflict-ending peace deal that sets the stage for regional integration.

They will be discussing Summer Internship opportunities which will be done remotely, unless the student would like to cover their own expenses to live in Tel Aviv, Israel for the duration of the internship. Open to all students, regional language skills helpful.
