"The Teaching and Teacher Leadership Master’s Program at Harvard

A career in education is a crucially important way to make an impact on the world. The Harvard Graduate School of Education welcomes Harvard students to consider applying for a master’s degree in the new Teaching and Teacher Leadership (TTL) program. You’ll join a remarkable cohort of students across HGSE, all committed to the shared mission of changing the world through education.

For Harvard College students and alumni interested in education, the new TTL program is your home to pursue those interests and make an impact on the lives of learners today and tomorrow. Starting next year, Harvard Teacher Fellows — HGSE’s innovative program to bring College students into careers in education — will become part of the new TTL program, which will build on the legacy of excellence in teacher preparation that HTF pioneered.

Applicants interested in earning teaching licensure in addition to the Ed.M. can choose from one of two licensure pathways: the residency model or the internship model. The application deadlines are as follows:

· November 14, 2021 (11:59 p.m. ET) – Deadline to apply for teaching licensure via the residency fieldwork model (i.e. with full immersion in the classroom, similar to the HTF model). This deadline has been extended, to allow as many candidates to apply as possible.

· January 5, 2022 (11:59 p.m. ET) – Deadline to apply for teaching licensure via the internship fieldwork model (i.e. teaching responsibilities ramp up gradually).

  1. can read about each of these options on the TTL webpage and by watching a recording of a recent TTL information session. can start your application here and introduce yourself , so that you can receive regular updates.
